PERSONAL WORK WITH GOD
As believers, we must have personal intimate relationships with God. This can be understood by analyzing the relationship we have with our parents. I have children, and all I have ever wished and struggled for is to give them a good life.
Same as God. All his plans are to give us a good life.
John 3:16 (KJV): For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God’s purpose for creation is that of intimacy.
Genesis 3:8 (KJV): And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
Sin separates us from God, but thank God for the death of Jesus on the cross of calvary. Once we accept him as our Lord and Saviour, we are set free.
Like every other relationship, a relationship with God starts from making an effort to know him. Everything about Christ is hidden in the Holy Bible. Over the years, the Bible has become more accessible to all. We have it in print, audio, and online. Anyone can simply download it to their phone.
The importance of God’s word is so much that Satan fights and discourages everyone from reading or listening to it. He used several distraction strategies to keep people away from the Bible. If we must enjoy all that God has made available to us, we must surrender our lives to Christ and draw near to him.
