Hello gateway lighthouse community. I’m excited to share my journey with you all. Upon moving to Canada, Gateway Lighthouse became my first church, and the past few years have been truly remarkable
This community is more than just a church; it’s a warm and welcoming family. The love and respect I’ve experienced here have made my transition to a new country feel like coming home. In every smile and shared moment, I’ve found the true essence of fellowship.
Reflecting on this journey, Proverbs 27:17 comes to mind – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Gateway Lighthouse has played a crucial role in sharpening my faith, shaping my character, and fostering meaningful connections.
I’m grateful for the support, friendships, and spiritual growth that Gateway Lighthouse has brought into my life. It’s not just a place of worship; it’s a sanctuary of love, a beacon of hope, and a family that stands strong together.

I remember August 12, 2018 when the doors of Gateway Lighthouse Church opened up, I was told that morning on my way to church that I would lead the choir, I cried not just because I felt I was too young but because I did not believe that I was spiritual enough to take on such role. Despite being in Choir all my life, I was not used to being a leader or being at the front of the scene.
Weeks turned to months, months to years and I can say that I have grown tremendously both Spiritually and vocally.
2 Timothy 1:7 says that he has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind. Fear was very evident in my life as I was always afraid to take bold steps, whether it be taking my driving road test or standing on the pulpit to minister.
God took me through training and extensive building of my life in these past years. I have learnt to overcome fear in almost all aspects of my life. Although he is still working in me, the girl I was 5years back is no longer the girl I am today.
Gateway Lighthouse Church is a community full of love and people who want to genuinely encounter God. Coming into Gods house every Sunday and fellowshipping with Gods people has become one of my favourite life’s movement. The word has been life changing and soul piercing, the praise and worship is intense and intentional and the community is so welcoming.
I invite you to join us every Sunday @10:30am. You will have such an amazing experience and the Lord will do a new thing in you. Amen!!!

GLC is not just a church to me but it has become my perfect home. A place where I always run to whenever I need peace.
Serving in church has affected me positively in my daily life and my academic life. This church has drawn me closer to God and I pray that God will always uplift them.

Sometimes in July 2021, l intentionally engaged in praise and worship program after being refused study permit twice. I have prayed and did not see my miracle come through for me because I was anxious. My pastor in that month said we should do a one hour praise to God. I did it for two weeks before the end of July l receive a message from IRCC that l should go for my medical after two months I received my study permit. Praise invokes the speed of God. God is worthy of our praise.

Our church is a place where everyone is not just nice but genuinely compassionate, offering Godly solutions to the challenges life throws our way.
My time here has been transformative. I’ve built confidence in public speaking, formed deep and lasting relationships, and most importantly, drawn closer to God. Gateway Lighthouse Church has encouraged me to use my unique talents and gifts to serve God’s purpose, playing a part in building His kingdom.
Join us, and you’ll become part of a community dedicated to your spiritual growth, personal development, and the joy of serving God. I can’t wait to welcome you into our family.

Praise God GLC family. I’m here to testify of God’s unfailing mercy towards me. I was involved in a minor collision on the way to work one morning, and to the glory of God I was not hurt. Also, the other person’s car involved was not damaged.
This experience reminds me that Psalms 121:7-8 (NIV) says: The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
I’m thankful for God continuous protection over my life. Glory to God. Amen!

When I arrived in Canada in 2020, little did I know that my life was about to change in the most beautiful way. I found not only a place of worship, but a loving community that would become my second family.
Though I have always been a church girl growing up, this community felt different. I found a family that is not just a church community. The love, support and encouragement from the pastor and even the members of the church is incredible.
One of the most beautiful aspects of being part of GLC is the genuine connections I’ve made. Through serving in the choir, I’ve met incredible individuals who share the same passion for music and faith. We’ve laughed, cried, and grown together, forming bonds that extend beyond the church walls.
GLC is where I got to actually realize that church is not just a place to go to. We are the church, and we live like we are the body of Christ. We do not practice Christianity as a religion, it is a lifestyle in GLC.
I have found my home!
